Jumble Trail newsletter
Autumn is in the air, and the mornings certainly are feeling a bit brisker. While we’re all a little sad to say goodbye to summer, the change in season brings much to look forward to, like heading back to school, harvest season, leaves changing and one of our favorites: jumble trails.
We’re big fans of jumble trails. If you haven’t heard a jumble trail is a car boot sale but on your street, as neighbours set up stalls outside their houses to sell bric-a-brac, toys, vintage clothes, cakes or whatever. We’re fans because they bring communities together around sharing. They reduce the waste stream and conserve resources and energy. They unlock creativity as neighbours make things or bake cakes. Jumble trails are a fabulous way to find something that is new to you and fun while also sustainable.
There are a few upcoming jumble trails this weekend we wanted to make sure you are aware of (and there are probably a few happening near you in a church or a parking lot).
Saturday, 8 October from 11:00-16:00: North End Road autumn market (click here for more information)
Sunday, 9 Ocotber from 11:00-16:00: Wandsworth Jumble Trail (click here for more information)
If you’re nearby you should certainly check one of these out! Any jumble trails happening in your area? We’d love to help you promote it by sharing information on our Facebook page – if so email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Have a great autumn,
Sam and the Streetbank Team
